''Trilocha varians'' is a moth in the Bombycidae family. It is widespread in the Oriental Region, extending to Taiwan, the Philippines, Sulawesi and Java.〔(The Moths of Borneo )〕 The wingspan is 25–27 mm.〔(gaga.biodiv.tw )〕 The larvae feed on ''Streblus'' and ''Ficus'' species. Young larvae are grey with large subdorsal black spots and a short, fleshy, curved horn. Mature larvae are dull brown.〔(Immature Stages of Four Bombycidae Species of Taiwan )〕 Pupation takes place in a boat-shaped cocoon, closely woven with white or yellow rather-papery silk.
